Poor Yfandes. As a somewhat manic-depressive teenager, her heart was broken by the boy she thought she loved (plus, he stole her family's ship...) Despite her grandparent's objections, she became a bounty hunter, and a rather successful one at that (mostly because of her talent of getting other people to do her work for her, but also because she was quite capable herself). She rose in the ranks quickly, and now stands as one of the chairman of the BHA. Unfortunately, as it turns out, the only reason she worked that hard was to catch up with that boy from so long ago, one Madison Rockhart. Things haven't been going well for her since she caught up with him - not only did she manage NOT to capture OR kill him, but she botched things up so badly, her BH license was suspended. Perhaps she'll use some of her "time off" to seek therapy...?

Yfandes (ee-fahn-dez): Named after the Companion in Mercedes Lackey's Last Herald Mage series, which I was reading at the time. Always did like the name. I've yet do find a meaning to it, however.

Scylla (sil'-uh): According the Encyclopedia Mythica... "In Greek mythology, a sea monster who lived underneath a dangerous rock at one side of the Strait of Messia, opposite the whirlpool Charybdis. She threatened passing ships and in the Odyssey ate six of Odysseus' companions."

Amberlith (am-bur-lith): A (practically) obsolete graphic arts material. It's a two-ply overlay material, one ply is an orange layer and the other is clear acetate. You use a knife and cut thru the orange layer to cut out shapes and peel away the orange portions you don't want... for making cut outs and shapes and stuff. Also the name of a song my dad's band plays. I just like the sound of it.

Yfandes, along with Piper and Ardyn, is one of the few characters that existed before SunDowner. I can't remember what exactly it was for... I normally keep things like that around here, but I can't find anything about her. She was made for an online X-Men sim, of all things, and she wasn't as psycho. A bit like a Britan sans sense of humour. But that's all I remember. Her character design remained completely the same, tho. I used to hate Yfandes. She bothered me, and I felt she was one note. I don't mind her near as much now, possibly because I've thought about her a little more... or maybe because I discovered I could draw these great black places under her eyes! *lol*
I've got more stuff planned for Yfandes in the future... she'll be easier to work with now that's she not the main "villain"....

Yfandes was raised by her grandparents.

She's the most... er... shapely of the female characters.

She enjoys classic mystery novels.

I've yet to determine why she has red eyes and white/pale blue hair...
